Audio Lab
Updated
Sound can reveal an event that is hard to see: a notification, ready cue or short effect. Audio Lab and ordinary audio nodes are Free.
Prepare a sound signature
- Select the sound source and record an example. Verify that the intended event is audible.
- Listen on the timeline and select a short distinctive fragment.
- Save the signature to the library. Add positive and negative examples for testing.
- Tune the thresholds and test the detector. Transfer the signature and settings to Audio Cue Detect.
Choose a detector
- Audio Peak Detect checks a level peak within a frequency band. It suits a simple distinctive signal.
- Audio Cue Detect matches a saved pattern across time and frequency, useful when volume alone is insufficient.
- Similarity, minimum level, contrast against background and coverage affect false triggers. Test music and ordinary noise as well.
- Do not rely on future neural signature search as an available feature.
