Sandbox — a separate Windows for your bot
Sandbox starts a separate Windows inside your computer — a virtual machine with its own desktop, disk and network. The game or program runs in there, the bot drives it from the inside, and your own mouse and keyboard stay free. It lives in MultiBox on the Sandbox tab and is part of the PRO tier.
How this differs from regular MultiBox: MultiBox runs copies of a program side by side inside your Windows — light and fast. Sandbox gives each copy an entire Windows of its own: copies see neither each other nor your computer, and each has its own disk and network. In return a virtual machine needs more memory and disk space. Start with MultiBox, and reach for Sandbox when you need real separation or when the bot has to work without taking over your screen and mouse.
What Sandbox can do
Several machines at once
Each VM opens in its own AIWeavio window. The Arrange windows button lays them out across the screen.
Machines are kept
Every VM has its own disk. Save and close freezes it, Resume brings you back exactly where you left off.
Graphics card inside
Your computer's GPU is available inside the VM, so games and graphics run accelerated.
Sound
Audio from the virtual machine plays on your computer.
Shared folders
Folders from your computer appear inside the VM as read-only, read-write or write-only.
Clipboard
Copy text on the computer, paste it inside the VM — and the other way round.
Four network modes
No network, internet only, internet plus local network, or all traffic through your SOCKS5 proxy.
Its own identifiers
Each VM gets its own computer name, MAC address and virtual hardware serial numbers.
First run
- Open MultiBox and switch to the Sandbox tab.
- Click Create virtual machine and set the name, memory limit, processor count, screen resolution, network mode, GPU and shared folders. All of it can be changed later while the machine is off.
- Click Create and start. The first Windows sign-in takes a few minutes, and for the first seconds after boot the screen may stay black — that is expected.
- Install the game inside the machine: through a shared folder, or by downloading it from the internet right inside the VM.
- Control the machine with your mouse and keyboard right in its window. For games with mouse-look, the Pause/Break key switches on relative mouse mode (experimental).
- When you are done, use Save and close to pick up later from the same spot, or Shut down.
Hardware and display
- Memory is set as a limit in 64 MB steps. The machine starts smaller and takes memory as load grows, never above the limit.
- Virtual processors — any number up to your computer's core count, or tick Use all host processors.
- Screen resolution — automatic or manual, never above your monitor's maximum. Applies on the next start.
- Hardware can only be changed while the machine is off. If the machine is saved, new settings discard the saved state and it starts from scratch.
- For advanced users: CPU performance counters (PMU) can be enabled for profilers inside the VM. Off by default, since it adds overhead.
Graphics card (GPU)
- GPU is on by default for new machines: the virtual machine renders through your computer's graphics card.
- The feature is experimental: it passed repeated starts and two machines running at once, but specific driver and Windows combinations may behave differently.
- If Windows has recovery of a hung graphics card disabled, GPU is unavailable for machines — the app says so right in the settings.
- Turning GPU on or off takes effect on the machine's next start.
Shared folders, clipboard and sound
- Shared folders appear inside the machine at C:\AIWeavio\Shared right after start. Files load when opened, so folder size does not matter.
- Read-only — files can be opened and copied, not changed.
- Read-write — new and changed files are saved to the computer. Deleting inside the machine never deletes the file on the computer.
- Write-only — the machine can only add files, for example the bot's screenshots or reports.
- The clipboard carries text both ways. Copying files through the clipboard is not available yet — use shared folders.
- Sound goes through an audio driver already installed on your computer: streaming audio from AMD Software, or NVIDIA virtual audio. If no suitable driver is present, the app tells you.
Network
- No network — the machine is fully isolated.
- Internet only — internet access without reaching devices on your home network.
- Internet and local network — the machine sees printers, NAS and other devices at home.
- SOCKS5 (all traffic) — the machine's entire network goes through your proxy. Username and password are optional; the password is stored encrypted and only for this machine.
- For a proxy running on the same computer, use the address 127.0.0.1. For UDP traffic (voice, many games) to go through the proxy too, the server must support UDP ASSOCIATE.
- SOCKS5 mode is still in testing — before important work, check the external address from inside the machine.

Machine identifiers
- Every new machine gets a permanent ID and disk, its own Windows computer name, MAC address, virtual board and chassis serial numbers, and a system volume serial. They stay the same across restarts.
- After its first start the machine has its own Windows SID and MachineGuid.
- An honest boundary: the virtual hardware model is the same on every machine, and the SMBIOS UUID is reassigned on every cold start.
Bots inside Sandbox
- The Set SandBox block picks a machine and, optionally, a specific window inside it. Both lists refresh with the button next to them.
- Every block connected to its Window output acts inside the machine: image and colour search, text recognition, neural networks, mouse and keyboard.
- If no window inside is picked, the target is the machine's whole desktop.
- The machine must already be running: the block does not start it, and goes straight to its Failed branch if the machine is off.
- The picker tools — Image Lab, the block inspector, the detection studio — can grab a frame right from the machine: its whole desktop or a single window.
- The bot keeps running while AIWeavio is minimised or hidden in the tray, and machine windows keep updating.
